GHPS Timeline

Guru Harkrishan Public Schools were founded with a vision to provide quality modern education deeply rooted in the teachings and values of Sikhism.

1965
The Vision Begins

The first Guru Harkrishan Public School is founded near India Gate, New Delhi, by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, with the mission to provide quality education rooted in Sikh teachings and values.

1975
Amazon Prime debuts

GHPS expands its mission with the opening of GHPS Vasant Vihar, marking another milestone in serving the community and shaping young minds.

1982
Growing Roots

Two new branches open to serve more students across Delhi, strengthening the foundation of value-based learning.

1995
Strengthening Values

New facilities and programs are introduced to nurture students’ academic and spiritual growth, blending modern education with Sikh principles.

2005
Global Connections

The first GHPS alumni meet is organized, uniting graduates from around the world and building lifelong bonds.

2025
GHPS Alumni Foundation

The GHPS Alumni Association is formally established to bring together proud alumni across the globe, strengthen the Sangat, and support the schools through mentorship, Seva, scholarships, and community initiatives.
